Intensive 8-day Shoe Making Course

Join Hetty on this intensive course where you will learn how to make 4 pairs of shoes from scratch over 8 days. You will make a slingback heeled shoe, a mule, flat ballet pump and a heeled court shoe. You will be provided with all the materials, components and tools required for your shoe making experience.

This is a private shoe making course so we can arrange dates to suit you, please enquire to book your dates. They can run over weekends or weekdays as Hetty is flexible with dates, the days can be as blocks or spread out.

You will learn basic pattern cutting and what to consider when choosing your fabrics/leather for your shoes. Learning about the last (shoe mould) is also an important part of understanding shoe making so we will cover this. You will learn how to use your patterns to cut and sew your shoe pieces to create your uppers. Next will be the lasting process where your shoe comes to life in 3D form! You will choose your heels and inner socks to finish your shoes.

Hetty will also provide you with a suppliers list and 16 years worth of shoe making experience for any questions you may have!
